Account Closure, Deactivation, and Data Retention #
- Seller-Initiated Closure Request
Where you submit formal request for the closure of your Seller Account, such account shall, in accordance with the Platform policy, be placed in a temporary hold status for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the closure request (“Cooling Period”). The Cooling Period is intended to ensure the orderly completion and settlement of all transactions, obligations, payment reconciliations, returns, refunds, chargebacks, penalties, investigations, or disputes arising prior to or during the Cooling Period.
- Access During Cooling Period
During the Cooling Period, you will have limited access to your Seller Portal solely for the purpose of downloading payment statements, tax records, and related compliance documentation. You will not be permitted to list new products, process new orders, or otherwise engage in active selling during this period.
- Final Deactivation
Upon expiry of the Cooling Period, you must confirm, in writing or through authorised electronic means, that all required records have been retrieved and that you wish to proceed with final deactivation of your account. Subject to verification that no outstanding payments, liabilities, disputes, penalties, investigations, or claims remain pending, the Platform may permanently deactivate your account.
For the avoidance of doubt, LX INDIA shall be entitled to withhold or set off any settlements payable to you against any outstanding dues, refunds, chargebacks, penalties, fraud-related losses, or other amounts payable by you.
- Retention of Account Information
Notwithstanding such deactivation, LX INDIA may retain information and records associated with your account — including, without limitation, contact details, GSTIN, transaction history, KYC records, communications, and settlement data — for such period of one year as may be required for legal, regulatory, tax, audit, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or operational purposes, in accordance with applicable law and LX INDIA’s data-retention policies.
- Reactivation and Duplicate Accounts
If your account has been deactivated, you may not create or operate a new account on the Platform. If you later wish to resume selling, you may submit a request for reactivation. Any such request will be considered solely at our discretion and may be approved only after fresh verification and subject to any conditions we may specify at that time. We are under no obligation to reactivate a deactivated account.
- Survival of Obligations
Closing or deactivating your account does not cancel or release any rights or obligations that arose before the account was closed. This includes, among other things, payment obligations, indemnity responsibilities, tax liabilities, and any matters relating to claims, investigations, or breaches that occurred prior to closure.
